Hi, I’m Ellie and I’m a native Minnesotan, born and raised in

St. Paul. I have always had a passion for many different areas of life, from writing to website design. I attended Concordia Academy in Roseville and moved up north to the Brainerd Lakes area in 1996. That is where I started my craft business, On the Lake Creations. I taught rubber stamping and sold my handmade cards and gifts at local craft shows and online. I taught myself website design and mostly importantly website promotion and watched my business grow. At that time, I learned how important it is to network with other small business owners.
In 2005, I found myself starting my life over, after going through a divorce and making a move to St. Cloud to “start my life over.” I continued my business for 1 more year since most of my business was done online; it didn’t matter where I actually lived. But after that year, I decided to close On the Lake Creations.

During this transition I met my now-husband, Mark, and we ended up moving back closer to the cities, to Eagan, to be closer to our families. We got married and now have 2 beautiful sons, Sean and Alex. They are truly the light of my world and my angels.

When I had my first son, Sean, I decided I needed to get back to working from home (I had been working for HealthPartners in Minneapolis). I enrolled in an online program for medical transcription. I completed the course under a year and now I work part-time doing medical transcription at home, something I truly love to do. I am in the process of starting my own medical transcription business (I have an entrepreneur spirit!). I also recently joined The Pampered Chef as an independent consultant because of my love for cooking and the need for a creative outlet. I have been really impressed with the support Pampered Chef gives its consultants.

I found Women’s Source as I was browsing online looking for expos for my Pampered Chef business. I emailed Cheri and found out they needed someone for the southern region of MN. What was ironic was I had just been thinking about starting a women’s networking group in this area but now I found what I was looking for. . . Women’s Source. I am very excited to be part of this company and helping other women with their own business dreams.
